Encircle is a sculptural upholstery textile with a tactile, meticulous expression. It explores the delicate irregularities of natural surfaces and is inspired by the crafts and landscapes of Grand-Bassam, Ivory Coast.

Complex yet simple, Encircle unites a naturally irregular bouclé yarn and a solid-colored background yarn. This construction gives the upholstery a meticulous look: intricate irregular circles seem to pop out of the surface. Like leaves, each circle has an individual shape.

The signature characteristics of Encircle are also a pronounced softness and an elegant, rounded expression. It combines particularly well with Interlace, a curtain textile designed by Karin An Rijlaarsdam, and with many wool designs in the Kvadrat collection.
