We consider careful handling of personal data to be of great importance. Personal data is therefore carefully processed and secured by us. In our processing, we adhere to the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation. In this statement we explain which personal data we collect and use, and for what purpose. We recommend that you read this statement carefully.

Security

We are continuously working to secure the website/webshop against misuse and unauthorized access to personal data. It is your responsibility to secure the equipment with which you visit and use our website, for example with a virus scanner.

Retention periods

Most of the personal data that we process is data related to an order. Based on tax legislation and our obligations regarding bookkeeping, we are obliged to retain financial and order data for a period of 7 years. We do not store other data for longer than five (5) years. Data that ends up in logs as a result of a technical necessity, such as the IP number in web server log(s), is deleted as quickly as possible by means of log rotation.

Newsletters

We may also further process your data for marketing purposes. For example, we process your data in the Privy newsletter platform in order to provide you with a periodic newsletter in which we keep you informed of our products and services. Because you have placed an order with us, we see you as a customer and would like to stay in touch with you. We send digital newsletters on the basis of legitimate interest if you have not registered for the newsletter or on the basis of consent if you have indicated via the website that you wish to receive the newsletter. You have the right to unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link in the newsletter.

We also process your data for statistical purposes. This way we can obtain general insights, for example demographic insights.

We also collect your personal data to build a profile. We do this by, for example, registering which links you click in the newsletter, on which device you prefer to read the newsletter or when you read the newsletter.

The basis for building a profile in that case is to promote a legitimate interest: we can offer you better content.

We do not process more data than is necessary for this purpose and your interests, fundamental rights and freedoms are not harmed. If you unsubscribe from the newsletter, any profile you may have will also be deleted.
